Hat Noppharat Thara-Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park covers an area of 242,437 rai (approximately 388 sq.km.) of breathtakingly beautiful scenery that includes numerous beaches and islands. For visitors who come to Krabi, this area is always top of the list, especially the following sites:

Hat Noppharat Thara

This quiet beach is only 17 km away from Krabi town. The powdery white sand is peppered with tiny seashells and lined with pine trees. Thanks to its peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, this beach is a popular picnic spot for locals on weekends.

Ao Nang

Ao Nang is surrounded by enchanting limestone cliffs. Noted for its white sand beach and invitingly clear water, Ao Nang is popular among tourists. With hundreds of accommodation options available, the site is also a meeting point for island excursions around the bay.

Poda Island

Poda Island is about 8 kilometers offshore south of Ao Nang. It is famous for being a great snorkeling spot with a stunning and well-preserved underwater world. To get here, you can rent a boat from any tour desk around Ao Nang for a full-day or half-day excursion.

Maya Bay

The beauty of Maya Bay stands the test of time. The mighty limestone cliff guards the stunning crescent moon-shaped beach that wraps around an emerald green sea as it sparkles and shimmers under the tropical sunlight.

Thale Waek (Separated Sea)

Only a 25-minute boat ride away from Ao Nang will bring you to this wonder of Unseen Thailand that only appears during low tide. When the sea level drops, the white sand bar emerges and connects Koh Tub, Koh Mor, and Koh Kai, hence the name Thale Waek or “Separated Sea.”

Traveling

The best time to visit Ao Nang is during the high season (November-April). From Bangkok, direct flights are available multiple times a day, both from Suvarnabhumi and Don Muang airports. The flights usually take about 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Once you arrive at Krabi International Airport, purchase a shuttle bus ticket from any counter inside the airport. You will reach Ao Nang within an hour after your departure.
